  • Seeds of Herbalism Class Review

I absolutely loved Cindy’s Seeds of Herbalism class! Her passion for nature and its healing gifts is truly inspiring, and the way she shares her knowledge makes every lesson feel both educational and magical. I learned so much—not just about herbs, but about slowing down, listening to the earth, and appreciating the beauty all around us. Cindy creates such a warm and welcoming environment where everyone feels encouraged to share and connect. I also cherished the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals who share the same love for plants and holistic living. This class has not only deepened my connection with nature but has also sparked a renewed sense of wonder and gratitude in my everyday life.

Cindy is a kind, humble and downright joyful human and wonderful teacher. She approaches her classes with solid structure and information, but leaves essential room for play and connection. I love that she encourages us to build the foundation of our own relationship with plants before working with them. She's a true devotee to Nature and makes it feel possible to deepen my own herbalism practice.

Cindy’s Seeds of Herbalism course changed my life. I’ll never forget how I felt after her first class- a grounded sense of safety and connection I’ve searched for a very long time. I thought I would learn about western plants, make herbal infusions, etc. (which I did), but deeper than that, I learned to cultivate a reverent relationship with the natural world. I saw everything in my life differently because of this shift. Every walk outside, every flower I watered, every plant I consumed became an opportunity to be curious, grateful, and present. By the end of this course, I felt like I became a better version of myself. Cindy’s teachings invited me to use all of my senses to connect with the herbs we studied, and in return, I experienced myself with greater compassion and clarity. Her framework transcends learning about the aliveness of the earth, which is why I will always, always recommend this to every person I come across. None of us can do better for our planet, if we don’t take the time to soften into our true nature.

Thank you so much for every magical minute of your time and teachings, Cindy. Seeds of Herbalism brewed a magic in my mind and heart, but your essence awakened my soul.

I had been on the hunt to learn more about herbs, and I was particularly looking for a teacher that could teach me in-person. I was desperately looking for hands-on learning and experience. Although I had read many books and taken online courses, I was still feeling unsure of myself on how to work with herbs and my garden. I am so deeply grateful to have found a teacher in Cindy! Not only is she very knowledgeable, but she also cultivates a class culture that is welcoming, insightful, and just so much fun! I have taken her Seeds of Herbalism course, attended the Healing Power of Rose class, and just finished learning how to create medicines and creams during her summer's Herb crafting series.

I look forward to her classes because I get to learn in a space where I feel accepted, encouraged, and inspired to continue learning and creating at home. I highly recommend working with Cindy because whether you are new to herbs or have a long time relationship with the plants, Cindy will meet you where you are!

My confidence in incorporating herbs in my life solidifies more and more as I keep working with Cindy. I am excited to keep learning with her!

  • Seeds of Herbalism Class Review

When it comes to health I am a person that looks at "how things used to be" so naturally I was drawn to herbalism, but I didn't really know where to start.  When I saw Cindy's class for the Seeds of Herbalism, I was interested but a little hesitant.  Now, I am so happy I took the leap of faith and can't wait to see what this path has in store for me.  Cindy is a knowledgeable herbalist with years of experience and she will challenge you to go out and apply your knowledge.  The class is small and intimate so your questions will be answered and every class you'll feel like a part of something bigger. If this is a path you are interested in, I highly recommend taking classes with Cindy :).

I recently completed "Seeds of Herbalism-An Introduction to the Art & Science of Herbalism" with Cindy Saylor at the World Beat Center Ethnobotany Peace Garden, and it was an exceptional experience. Over six Sundays, Cindy guided us through a wide range of topics, including grounding & rooting, traditions, vitalism, energetics of the plants and herbal actions, and so much more. We learned practical ways to incorporate herbalism into our daily lives. Her deep knowledge and enthusiasm for herbalism were infectious, making every session engaging and enjoyable. Cindy's passion for the subject shone through, and her ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way truly enriched our learning. This class was not only informative but also an inspiring journey into the world of herbalism. Highly recommended for anyone curious about the power of plants and holistic health!
